The Mountains stood in Haze –

The Valleys stopped below

And went or waited as they liked

The River and the Sky.

山は霧に包まれていた―

谷は下で止まっていた

川も空も思い思いに

行ったり待ったり．

At leisure was the Sun –

His interests of Fire

A little from remark withdrawn –

The Twilight spoke the Spire.

太陽は暢気にひと休み―

太陽が持つ炎の利権は

注目から少し没交渉―

黄昏が尖塔に話しかけた．

So soft opon the Scene

The Act of evening fell

We felt how neighborly a thing

Was the Invisible.

この静かな情景を残し

夕方の幕が降ろされた

どんなに近く感じたか

目に見えぬ神の存在が．
