An instinct for the Hoar, the Bald –

Lapland’s – nescessit

白や，むき出しへの直感は –
ラップランドに – 不可欠だ –

The Hemlock’s nature thrives – on cold –

The Gnash of Northern winds

Is sweetest nutriment – to him –

His best Norwegian Wines –

 

ツガの特性は – 寒冷地での繁茂 – 

北風の歯ぎしりきしみは
ツガには – 最も甘い栄養剤 –

最高のノルウェーワイン –

To satin Races – he is nought –

But Children on the Don,

Beneath his Tabernacles, play,

And Dnieper Wrestlers, run.

 

サテンの人に – ツガの木は無価値 –

しかしドン川の子供たちは，
